Motiur Rahman Nizami (Bengali: মতিউর রহমান নিজামী), (born 1943) is a politician and the current chief (''Ameer'') of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, which is the largest Islamic political party in Bangladesh. On 29 October 2014 he was sentenced to death for war crimes in 1971 liberation war of Bangladesh by the International Crimes Tribunal of Bangladesh. He was the supreme commander of the militia group Al-Badr during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
